Protesting Bush in Detroit - Labor Day 2001 |
Back |
A family exercising their First Amendment rights
The Ironworkers were out in force — and up in arms.
These signs said it all.
The orange sashes proclaimed that where each person stood was a "First Amendment Zone."
We would not be moved — and the police quickly gave up trying to move us.
The protestors watching for Bush's motorcade
The crowd included mothers worried about their children's future.
Having booed Bush as he arrived, we waited in the heat to boo him as he left.
Back Door Bush didn't have a back door to sneak out through this time.
